August Cellars 2007 Riesling
Yakima Valley Washington. Very likeable dry-style with lychee fruit and cream front and drier mineral back. Reminds me of a chenin blanc. Another different stylistic approach, which is definitely a nice alternative to pricier German rieslings.
Thanks for the nice review, What I love about Riesling is that it makes a great beer substitute. Have it with anything comming off of the BBQ, i.e. brats, chicken, pulled pork. Or have with spicy foods, as it has just a touch of sugar to put out the heat of the spice.
